"With that in mind, the company partnered with Comstar Interactive Corp., New York, NY and is using the RIM two-way pager as a means of communication. This device is not only a two-way pager, but also has a built in credit card swipe and a GPS receiver. It can be used in the vehicle or removed and carried when out of the vehicle. If the interest shown at the show is any indication, this all-in-one solution promises to be a blockbuster.
"TranWare will provide it's "AutoDisp" Module and send messages to the RIM pager from the TranWare Suite of products which allows the RIM to become a fully automated hand held Mobile Data Terminal with GPS and Credit Card swipe built in."
